The Purva Baleswar 4S4R Farmer Producer Co-operative Society Ltd., based in Karanjia, Remuna Block, Balasore, Odisha, proudly presents Biri Badi, a traditional Odia delicacy crafted by local farmers. Registered under the National Cooperative Development Corporation (NCDC) and supported by ICAR-National Rice Research Institute (NRRI), the cooperative employs the 4S4R framework (Seed, Soil, Sowing, Reaping) to cultivate high-quality black gram (biri) in Balasore’s fertile fields, ideal for producing authentic, nutrient-rich products.

Biri Badi, a sun-dried lentil dumpling, is made from organically grown black gram, processed with traditional recipes and modern hygiene standards. Guided by NRRI’s research, farmers use superior seed varieties and sustainable practices to ensure chemical-free, protein-rich pulses.
